NFL Fans React To Today’s Jacksonville Jaguars News

The Jacksonville Jaguars made a massive jump from 2021 to 2022.

They went from being the worst team in the NFL and selecting first overall, to making the AFC Divisional round.

One of the many reasons for their success was the hiring of head coach, Doug Pederson.

He helped transform quarterback Trevor Lawrence into the elite player we saw in college.

Now the Pederson and Lawrence duo looks like it will be one of the best in the AFC for years to come.

But, Lawrence could not have had the success he did without good receiving options.

One of his go-to guys was tight end, Evan Engram.

Engram is set to be a free agent when the new league year begins in a few weeks.

But, the Jaguars have no interest in letting that happen.

If they can not reach a long-term deal, the franchise tag will be placed on the tight end according to insider Adam Schefter.

The Jaguars are expected to franchise tag TE Evan Engram, per @AdamSchefter.

Jaguars fans are certainly happy to hear that Engram will be returning.

I wish we gave him a full deal but either way, so happy to see him back in #DUUUVAL

Engram started his career in New York when the Giants drafted him in the first round of the 2017 draft.

Many Giants fans are upset that their team let Engram go and he is flourishing elsewhere.

Staying in Jacksonville is also a smart career move for Engram, as Pederson-led offenses love to use tight ends.

Engram should once again play a massive role in 2023.

Then he could be set to hit free agency again and receive a massive payday.

Engram had a career year with Trevor Lawrence in Doug Pederson’s TE friendly system!

Keep an eye on the Jaguars in 2023 as a dark horse to win the AFC.
