Not so long ago, the Seattle Seahawks were one of the ruling forces in the National Football League.
And while Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch often got most of the credit, a lot of that had to do with their spectacular Legion of Boom defense.
For years, Bobby Wagner was one of the glue guys on that dominant defensive unit, so it was a heartbreaking moment to see him leave the franchise.
However, the veteran star might get another opportunity to play in front of his former fans, as NFL insider Gregg Bell recently reported that a potential reunion could be in the works.
Bobby Wagner’s return to the Seahawks is growing more plausible.
Multiple NFL sources tell @thenewstribune at the scouting combine Seattle is keenly interested in signing back the 6-time All-Pro LB for 2023. But there’s much to sort out for it to happen: https://t.co/JyOBwsLbVo

Wagner’s potential return to the Seahawks has been a talking point during the NFL Scouting Combine, as Pete Carroll would welcome him back on a short-term deal next season.
The Los Angeles Rams recently released Wagner after they failed to find a trade partner for the 32-year-old, so he’s free to negotiate and sign with any team starting March 15.
Unsurprisingly, Seahawks fans met this news with great excitement, as Wagner is one of the greatest players in franchise history.

The Seahawks were much better than expected last season, with Geno Smith proving the doubters wrong and having the best season of his career.
They’ll now have plenty of draft assets to keep improving their roster around Smith, and their defense could definitely use a veteran star to help them make another postseason run in 2023.
It seems like the ball is on their court, so John Schneider better pick up the phone and give Bobby a call.
