The NFL world should buckle their seatbelts for the upcoming free agency.
Among the great players available to be signed, one is a star quarterback.
Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson was given the non-exclusive franchise tag, which gives him the ability to negotiate with other teams.
With plenty of quarterback-needy teams in the league, you would think many would be interested in Jackson.
According to a report from Jeremy Fowler, none of these teams are planning on making an offer for Jackson.
Multiple NFL teams predict that no one will make an offer for #Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, according to @JFowlerESPN

Many of the problems with Jackson have nothing to do with his play on the field.
It is reportedly the $200+ million in guaranteed money that he is asking for.
But, there has to be something else behind the scenes that are causing teams to be wary.

Because he’s not worth $240 million guaranteed

Because he’s a running back! RB’s don’t get $40M a year!

Maybe just maybe they don’t want him

Jackson is 26 years old, a former league MVP, and players like him are rarely ever available on the open market.
But, since Jackson relies so much on his legs, many teams probably believe he will break down sooner than later.
He has only played in 12 games each of the past two seasons.
No matter the negatives you find about Jackson, the positives far outweigh them.
He will vault any team into playoff contention and could win a Super Bowl with the right players around him.
Am I missing something??? Only two firsts is what it’ll cost for a franchise changing qb, and nobody is interested?

It will be very interesting to see if this report holds up.
