New York Jets fans have gone through a lot.
Their never-stopping quarterback carousel has set the franchise back more often than not, and it’s become more than clear that Zach Wlison wasn’t the answer to their prayers.
However, their guy might just be around the corner.
Former Las Vegas Raiders star Derek Carr is now officially a free agent, and his brother David reported on NFL Network that his visit with the Jets went fantastic.

Carr raved about how Derek hit it off with HC Robert Saleh and how he discussed the play-calling and several aspects of the game.
David also stated that Derek was going to take some time before making a decision and that he’ll meet with several suitors along the way, claiming it was going to be a long process.
Nonetheless, several Jets fans pointed out the fact that David chose Jets green of all colors to wear on his tie while reporting the news, hoping he was giving them a bit of a cryptic message.

Of course, that might just be a coincidence or wishful thinking, as Derek might not be 100% sure of wanting to play for the New York Jets as of now, but the sole thought of that might be quite encouraging for the fans.
Also, the Jets will likely consider all their options in case they don’t land Carr, with Aaron Rodgers, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Baker Mayfield as other potential alternatives to move on from Zach Wilson after two very disappointing seasons behind center.
