The Kansas City Chiefs found a true gem in Patrick Mahomes.

They’ve made five straight trips to the AFC Championship games, reaching the Super Bowl three times with a couple of wins.

He’s become one of the faces of the league and a record-setting machine that has put together a Hall of Fame kind of résumé already.

So, needless to say, every single team around the NFL will be obsessed with finding ‘the new Mahomes’ year in and year out in the NFL Draft.

Notably, NFL analyst Jamie Erdhal believes that his successor has already arrived.

Per Erdahl, Alabama QB prospect Bryce Young has Patrick Mahomes-like ability, which could be the biggest praise someone could get right now.

Young dominated the SEC during his two-year tenure with the Crimson Tide, and he was considered a lock to be the first quarterback — and maybe even the first player — taken off the board in the upcoming NFL Draft.

However, there have been several doubts about Young’s size and muscle — or lack thereof — as of late, with some scouts believing he’ll have a hard time transitioning and enduring the physicality that NFL players must endure every week.

Young is a nearly-perfect QB prospect from a football standpoint, and he’s even ranked better than Mahomes when he first entered the league.

His skills have never been put into question, and there’s a chance he will become a superstar.

But whether teams will overlook his physical limitations or not after weeks of speculation, remains to be seen.
