The NFL has forever been a league where players have moved teams searching for the most money.

Rightfully so, as football is such a tough sport, and the shelf life of many players is not long.

Whenever someone has the option to get more money, they should take it.

But, sometimes a player that has made plenty of money is just looking for a change of scenery.

That is what is happening with San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould.

According to Matt Maiocco, Gould will likely be playing elsewhere in 2023.

The kicker has spent his last six seasons as a part of the 49ers.

Over his six seasons, Gould made 87.5% of his field goals and made 96.1% of his extra points.

He was a reliable kicker for the 49ers, and some teams will be lucky to land him in free agency.

Gould will be entering his age-41 season, but age is rarely a factor for kickers.

One team that may be interested in Gould is the Dallas Cowboys.

Their kicking issues were quite apparent at the end of last season.

In the playoffs, kicker Brett Maher was 1-6 on extra points.

So there seems to be no doubt that Dallas is one team in the market for a kicker.

All in all, Gould has been a reliable kicker for many years in the NFL.

The 49ers will miss him, and it will be interesting to see which team will pay for him on the open market.
