Lamar Jackson Posts Funny Message About Him Needing An Agent

The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson continue to be in a bit of a standoff.

The Ravens placed him under the non-exclusive franchise tag, meaning he’s free to negotiate with other teams.

Baltimore would then get an opportunity to match any offer he gets, or they’d get a couple of compensatory picks from the team that signs him, so they pretty much have all the leverage in this situation.

Notably, Jackson is reportedly looking for the same kind of deal that Kyler Murray and Deshaun Watson got.

He wants more guaranteed money, but the Ravens have serious concerns about his durability after failing to finish the past couple of seasons.

Recently, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Jackson turned down a deal that would grant him nearly $200 million guaranteed.

Jackson didn’t hesitate to take to Twitter and ‘call cap’ on the report, later poking fun at his situation of not having an agent right now.

Lamar has represented himself throughout this process, but that doesn’t mean he’s acted alone.

He’s been getting counseling from the NFLPA, and he’s made it more than clear that he has no intention of signing a deal for less than he thinks he’s worth.

Surprisingly, several teams openly stated that they wouldn’t make a run at Jackson, leading media members, fans, and even some of his colleagues to believe that there’s some sort of collusion against him right now.

And while we cannot affirm or deny any of that, this situation sure seems quite head-scratching, to say the least.
