For years, LaDainian Tomlinson was one of the best running backs in the NFL.

He was a dominant force on offense and imposed his will upon opposing defenders.

If anyone can provide insight into the makings of a future star at the position, it’s Tomlinson.

Yesterday, Tomlinson gave glowing praise for an impressive draft prospect.

The NFL Draft is less than two months away.

Many fans have already started recruiting top prospects to their team, begging the front office to draft their favorites.

Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs are currently the two highest-rated running backs of the 2023 class.

Tomlinson contends, that, if Gibbs can put together a great showing at the combine, he will be able to vault himself up teams’ draft boards.

Gibbs was a star running back at the University of Alabama, a college that continues to churn out elite NFL talent.

Will Gibbs be able to make his way into the first round of this year’s draft?

In the last five years, there have been seven running backs taken in the first round.

Even though Robinson and Gibbs have been highly touted up to this point, their combine scores will need to impress if they want to make it into the first round of the draft.

In the above video, Tomlinson references Chris Johnson, another legendary running back who tore up the league for several seasons.

At the combine, Johnson tied the record for the 40-yard dash, which was a big reason that he was selected in the first round of the 2008 draft.

Will Gibbs be able to replicate Johnson’s combine success?
