The Las Vegas Raiders have been extremely active during the 2023 NFL offseason.

Their first big move was releasing Derek Carr, and have recently signed Jimmy Garoppolo to be their newest starting quarterback.

Now, the Raiders have signed Jakobi Meyers to a three-year contract, adding a veteran receiver alongside Davante Adams.

After he was signed, Meyers released a short sentiment about his move.

“They wanted me, I wanted them,” said Meyers.

Meyers also commented, “It’s hard to turn down Las Vegas.”

The Raiders have been steadily building their team in hopes of an AFC West title.

Over the last seven seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs have won the division, and aren’t showing signs of slowing down.

Despite their poor season in 2022, the Denver Broncos have constructed a similar building plan, gaining a new head coach, and re-tooling their organization.

The Los Angeles Chargers have also continued to get better, as the team is building around Justin Herbert.

Will the Raiders’ efforts amount to the level of success that they are seeking?

Whether or not Garoppolo is an upgrade over Carr remains to be seen.

Many have speculated that Garoppolo’s playoff experience alone is worth it for the Raiders.

Garoppolo, on the other hand, has plenty of experience in the postseason, something that Meyers could certainly benefit from.

The addition of Meyers demonstrates that the team is willing to make changes in the hopes to better their overall roster.

Who else will join him during the offseason?
