The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off one of the best seasons in recent franchise history.
They managed to overcome a slow start to the campaign, closing the season strong and taking the Tennesee Titans down in the regular season finale to clinch the AFC South Division title.
They later showed a lot of resiliency and courage by getting back from a 27-point deficit in their playoff debut before failing to beat the eventual champions.
It’s evident that the Jaguars have a bright future ahead of them, with Trevor Lawrence working under Doug Pederson, and they have plenty of young pieces to continue building around.
More than that, the Jaguars might as well get a massive boost from within next season, as former Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley was finally reinstated from his suspension and is now eligible to play for his new team.
Ridley was suspended for at least a season for gambling, but he might now be a huge bargain for a team needing another playmaker in the open field.
More than that, former NFL executive Scott Pioli believes his work ethic will make him an instant fit in the locker room, going as far as to say that he could end up being a steal:
“He is a good person and a good player. I think the Jaguars got a complete steal here,” Pioli said on Good Morning Football. “They don’t have to do much to get him ready. All he has to do is show up and start working with Trevor Lawrence, get himself integrated into that locker room, which won’t be difficult because of the person he is, because of the worker he is. This is going to end up being a steal, I believe.”

Ridley was one of the most underrated and productive wideouts in the league before that bizarre scandal emerged, and he’ll now get to run routes for an up-and-coming quarterback who took a major leap forward in his sophomore season.
