It didn’t take long for the Chicago Bears to start their offseason by cleaning house.

While the team is entering the offseason with the most cap space of any NFL team, they are still making cuts.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, they have released defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad.

While this is possible, the Bears organization has not confirmed who they will pick in the first round.

Another fan sees the move as something expected from the team.

With the team having so much cap space, one fan feels the move was performance-based.

You gotta stink when the team with most cap space makes you a cap casualty

However, there are fans who didn’t even know Muhammad was on the team.

Forgot he was on the team

While some fans might not know him, fans of other teams are asking if he will help their team.

Is he worth picking up bears fans or stay away from him?

The move to release him takes away a player who has been with Matt Eberflus for years.

Both he and Eberflus came from the Indianapolis Colts over to the Bears in 2022.

While the two had a long-standing relationship, it wasn’t enough to keep him around in 2023.

He never got the playing time in Chicago like he had in Indianapolis.

The move to the Bears saw him going from a starting player to an occasional starter for the team.

While he started all 17 games in 2021 with the Colts, he only started nine games with the Bears.

However, he played 16 games during the 2022 season.

While he was a roster cut, it seems most fans felt the move was coming.
