KaVontae Turpin’s football career has been interesting up to this point.

After his four years at TCU, Turpin played for five different football teams in five different leagues, including the USFL.

He was able to stand out in the USFL and signed a three-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the 2022 NFL season.

Although Turpin has been seen as a high-quality special teams player, it appears that he wants to be known for more.

Turpin made it to the Pro Bowl this season as a special teamer.

During the 2022 regular season, he had a total of 508 kick return yards and 303 punt return yards, putting him among the league’s best returners.

However, Turpin is fighting for a spot on the Cowboys’ offense, as he would like to regularly line up at wide receiver.

After CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys are hurting for depth at the position.

If Turpin can prove his abilities in the passing game, there is a chance that the Cowboys will give him a chance to play the position that he is desperately seeking.

Training camp is not that far away.

If the Cowboys don’t draft a wide receiver in the first three rounds, or if they don’t sign anyone in free agency, these chances will increase for Turpin.

For someone like Turpin, who had to play in five different leagues before he made it into the NFL, he can live out his dreams.

Will his hard work and determination materialize into playing time in the Cowboys’ offense?
