The National Football League is a passer’s league and as such, every team needs to have at least one solid option at the wide receiver position.

The game features some freakish athletes, and given how tough it is to play defense nowadays, they always seem to have the upper hand and are on the verge of making a spectacular play.

But there are levels to everything, even among the great athletes we see walking on the gridiron every year.

And if someone knows one thing or two about star wide receivers, it’s a guy who has to cover them on a weekly basis.

With that in mind, Philadelphia Eagles star DB Darius Slay named the top five wide receivers he faced last year, and there were some interesting names, to say the least.

At number five, Slay chose New Orleans Saints rookie Chris Olave, stating that he’s got a bright future ahead of him.

At four, he had a somewhat shocking choice, praising the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Diontae Johnson and going as far as to compare him with Antonio Brown.

Then, he asked Philly fans not to be mad at him for praising CeeDee Lamb, who he thinks would’ve been No. 2 on his list if he hadn’t played in the slot so much.

Slay then chose the Washington Commanders’ Terry McLaurin, stating that he plays hard every single snap.

And, unsurprisingly, Slay chose Justin Jefferson as the best WR he faced last season, stating that he’s got him tied with Davante Adams as the best receiver in the league and that it won’t be long before the Minnesota Vikings star takes him down to claim the undisputed No.1 spot.

That’s some list, for sure.
