The Arizona Cardinals are one team that has spent plenty of time in the news this offseason.
That is because one of their star players is likely to be traded.
Arizona has expressed interest in trading wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
The former all-pro is entering his age-31 season next year, and the Cardinals are set for a rebuilding year.
It would make sense for them to move Hopkins and gain some more draft capital.
Plenty of wide receiver-needy teams will be interested in Hopkins.
He showed last season that he can still play at a high level.
It seems like Hopkins is ready to win, and he probably wants to go to a contending team.
According to Ian Rapoport, Hopkins would not be looking for a top-of-the-market deal on a new team.
#AZCardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins admitted on @PatMcAfeeShow that he’s “been hearing a lot of trade talks.” On that subject, my understanding is if a trade did happen, he’d be flexible on the last two years of his contract – rather than shoot for a top-of-the-market deal.

He has two seasons remaining on his current deal, but his being flexible with his contract goes to show he is focused on winning.

For his career, Hopkins has only played in six playoff games.
But, he has not made the postseason since 2019.
It will be interesting to see which teams pursue the all-pro.
Some teams to keep an eye on are the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.
If Hopkins is to be traded, it seems likely that it will come before the NFL draft.
Arizona would want more picks for this draft to help speed up their rebuild.
Hopkins seems to be the best player on the trade block right now.
But, every offseason there seem to be a few players that get traded out of nowhere.
