Commanders Advertise A Prominent OC Interview Thursday

The Washington Commanders have been hunting for a new offensive coordinator after firing Scott Turner.

During the 2022 season, the Commanders scored 18.9 points per game, which was the ninth-lowest in the league.

They have turned their search to an impressive candidate, who many believe should have received head coaching options in the offseason.

We are interviewing Eric Bieniemy today for our offensive coordinator opening.

This afternoon, the Commanders will interview Eric Bieniemy for their vacant position.

Bieniemy is the current OC for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are fresh off their Super Bowl victory.

While many across the league see this as a lateral move for Bieniemy, the Commanders see him as an experienced coach, who would help their team get to the next level.

The Commanders ended 2022 with a record of 8-8-1, missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

Over the last 15 years, the Commanders have made the playoffs four times, and haven’t been able to pull off a playoff victory in that span.

With any luck, if he took the job, Bieniemy’s experience with a winning culture could greatly improve the Commanders’ chances of having success in the postseason.

The question that many have been asking is, will Bieniemy take this job?

Currently, he is tied to the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, which has turned into a comfortable job, as the team has won their division in seven-straight years.

Bienemy might wait to take a new job until he receives head coaching nominations, but is still interviewing with the Commanders today.

We’ll soon see where his head is at, especially if he ends up taking the job in Washington.
