The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting ready to start a new era in 2023.

After the retirement of quarterback Tom Brady, the Bucs will have a new signal-caller leading their offense.

Some other players that will not be returning to their offense are running back Leonard Fournette and tight end Cameron Brate.

The new-look Buccaneers will be a much younger team and will rely on unproven but talented players.

One of those players is running back Rachaad White.

White played a backup role last season but looked like their most explosive back when given the chance.

He rushed 129 times for 481 yards, and also caught 50 passes for 290 yards.

White is more than capable of operating as an RB1 and he should get his chance in 2023.

Along with a new role on the team, White has also changed his number heading into next year.

He has moved from number 29 to number 1.

For the Buccaneers, next season will be a rebuilding year.

But, that does not mean they can not be in playoff contention.

Playing in the NFC South gives them an advantage because the division is so bad.

There is not a franchise quarterback in the division as of now, and a few of the teams are still searching for answers.

If the Buccaneers can get anything out of Trask and the rest of the offense, they have a great chance to compete.

But, they will have to change their offense and start to lean on the run game more.

That is where White can be in for a big season in his first year wearing a new number.
