Cincinnati Bengals star running back Joe Mixon is all over the news for non-football-related reasons.

According to WLWT and Miek Dardis, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies entered Mixon’s home on Tuesday morning, several hours after getting a call about shots being fired.

Police tape wrapped in front of home listed as Joe Mixon’s in early February incident report in another case. Tonight I spoke with Mixon’s sister Shelonda. She tells me Joe was not involved in the shooting Monday night that injured a teenager. Deputies are still there. @WLWT

Apparently, the shots left one person injured, but there have been no reports or clarity about Mixon’s involvement in this altercation.

The sheriff states that they received the report of shots being fired at the 7900 block of Ayers Road around 8:30 PM local time, adding that one ‘juvenile’ was later taken to the hospital with minor injuries, albeit how he actually got hurt was never disclosed.

As per standard procedure, the deputies then proceeded to tape the house, which is reportedly owned by Mixon.

The report also adds that there is at least one evidence marker in the house’s yard and that several deputies tried to enter the premises and urged whoever was inside the home to come out.

A car was reportedly spotted in the driveway in the early morning, with an officer arriving at the scene with a warrant to enter the home around 1:30 am.

However, the officers eventually left the scene without making an arrest around 3:20 am, roughly five hours after getting the call.

This isn’t the first time that there’s been an altercation at this address, with Mixon getting a warrant for his arrest early in the year, although the charges were eventually dropped.

Hopefully, we’ll get some more clarity about this story and Mixon’s involvement as the hours go by.
