A Chargers Coach Has Announced He Is Leaving To Join The Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have added yet another coach to their impressive list of personnel.

Mike McDaniel found success in his first year in Miami and will look to only build on that in his second year with the team.

Now, another key coach will be joining them in their quest to make a deep playoff run.

Renaldo Hill is the newest member of the Dolphins staff.

Hill comes from the Los Angeles Chargers, where he spent just two seasons as their defensive coordinator.

For the Dolphins, Hill will be their defensive pass-game coordinator, joining Vic Fangio on the defensive side of the ball.

Fangio and Hill worked together on the Denver Broncos, and they already have an established rapport with each other.

The hope is, due to a combination of their former chemistry and the playmakers that the Dolphins have on defense, this will be an incredible pairing.

In 2022, the Dolphins defense allowed 24.6 points per game, which was tied for sixth-most in the NFL.

Because their defense allowed so many points, it was difficult for their offense to make up for their shortcomings, especially given their instability at the quarterback position.

Tua Tagovailoa has suffered numerous concussions over the past year, and his status is largely unknown.

For now, the Dolphins have secured a coach that should help them succeed in 2023.

The AFC East is only getting more challenging, especially given how dominant the Buffalo Bills have been under Josh Allen.

A strong defense might just be the key for the Dolphins to make some noise in the division.
