NFL free agency is officially in full swing.
Many of the intriguing offseason topics were based on where the quarterbacks would land.
The next big quarterback move was Jimmy Garoppolo finding his new team.
According to Mike Garafolo, the Las Vegas Raiders are closing in on a deal with Garoppolo.

There was some speculation that Garoppolo would head to Las Vegas.
Mostly because their head coach is his former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
Garoppolo is plenty good to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
He should help the Raiders compete for a playoff berth in 2023.
Many people see this as a good move by Las Vegas.

But, this does not seem like a move that can put them over the top.
Just in their division alone, Garoppolo will have to go blow for blow with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert.
It seems like this is a move that can maybe allow the Raiders to sneak into a Wild Card spot.
Some people even believe that it is a lateral move from Derek Carr.
But to the folks who are raiders fans: this is not that kind of Upgrade you wished for! But again congrats to Jimmy the G!

One thing Garoppolo has over Carr is playoff success.
Jimmy G has at least won playoff games and played in a Super Bowl.
According to Adam Schefter, it will be a three-year deal for Garoppolo.

Some think that Garoppolo could have even gotten more money.
Jimmy G will be making substantially less than New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.
Despite Garoppolo being the much more proven player.

It will be fun to see how Garoppolo performs in his first season as a Raider.
