A Jets Veteran RB Will Become A Free Agent

The New York Jets seem poised to make plenty of changes to their roster for the 2023 season.

Most of the big moves will be on the offensive side of the ball.

First and foremost, the Jets are in the market for a new quarterback.

The one player they are starting to key on is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

It appears that the Packers are ready to move him and the Jets are interested.

Rodgers and the Jets have already met to discuss a possible new contract and his interest level in playing in New York.

But, the Jets will still have to give up a nice trade package to acquire the four-time MVP.

Another move the Jets made on their offense was not tendering one of their running backs.

According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, James Robinson will not be tendered by the Jets and head to free agency.

With Breece Hall expected to be back next season, the Jets do not have much use for Robinson.

It would be a surprise if there is a strong market for the former Jaguar.

This is mostly because the free-agent running backs are very strong this year.

Some of the names available include Miles Sanders, David Montgomery, and Kareem Hunt.

Even though Robinson is only 24 years old, he has battled some tough injuries over the past two years.

Also, Robinson only had 425 rushing yards last year on 110 carries.

In a league where many teams do not want to pay running backs, Robinson will be lucky to get more than the veteran minimum.
