DC Billionaire Is Attempting To Buy The Commanders

A new character has officially entered the race to buy the Washington Commanders.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, billionaire Mitchell Rales has teamed up with Josh Harris to try and acquire the team.

Harris was reportedly interested in buying the Denver Broncos, so he’ll try to get a deal done this time.

Schefter didn’t reveal any details of this partnership, so it’s unclear who’d be the primary face and owner of the organization should the sale go down.

Rales is the founder of the Danaher Corporation and has a net worth of around $5.8 billion, per Forbes.

He’s been known for his philanthropic efforts, so it’s rather interesting to see him now pivoting back to one of the most merciless businesses on Earth: the National Football League.

The Commanders aren’t still officially up for sale, but controversial owner Dan Snyder is reportedly leaning towards finally parting ways with the franchise.

Snyder’s tenure in charge of the organization has become infamous among the fans, who’ve urged him to sell the team for years now.

Also, there were multiple reports of a toxic workplace culture within the franchise, so the league should also be looking forward to a change in ownership; the sooner the better.

Of course, there will be more than plenty of suitors interested in taking the team from his hands, but it’ll also take a load of money for him to even consider putting an end to his reign in charge of the team.
