Sound the alarms, NFL fans!

The New York Jets have made a big move, and so have the Baltimore Ravens!

But hey, hey, hey, hold your horses right there: It has nothing to do with Aaron Rodgers or Lamar Jackson.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Jets and Ravens have reportedly agreed on a trade that could send veteran safety Chuck Clark to New York.

A #Jets trade. Very solid move. Just… maybe not the one everyone was waiting on. https://t.co/rscqwdGWAL

Rapoport states that the Jets will send the Ravens some late-round draft compensation in return for their veteran star, adding that the trade is expected to become official as soon as the new league year starts on March 15.

Of course, landing a 2024 seventh-round pick for a star DB might not seem like a lot in return, but this move will save the Ravens over $4.1 million in cap space.

Clark was a perennial starter in Baltimore since he joined the team.

Just last season alone, he forced a fumble, recovered another one, and logged a whopping 101 tackles.

He made 61 starts for the Ravens overall across four years, and they will now have just Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams in that position.

Clark reportedly wanted to be traded last season after they signed Williams to a long-term deal, but he backpedaled and decided to run it back for at least another season.

He now gets his wish and will play next to reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner, bringing some much-needed grit and experience to a young team that’s looking to take a major step forward in 2023.
