After Derek Carr was released by the Las Vegas Raiders, it sent the NFL world into a spiral.
Many fans and members of NFL media pointed to several teams as options for Carr, who is looking for a fresh start.
This morning, ESPN’s First Take discussed Carr’s possibilities.
Jeremy Fowler suggested that Carr is a front-runner for the New York Jets, but, “everybody is still waiting on Aaron Rodgers.”
“I’m hearing that the Jets are the leader in the clubhouse, as of now, for Derek Carr. … But everybody is still waiting on Aaron Rodgers.”

Rodgers is still employed by the Green Bay Packers and is not yet a free agent.
He and Carr have been the two most discussed candidates for the Jets’ job to this point.
As one might imagine, NFL fans took to Twitter to discuss their thoughts on this Carr update.
This fan is in favor of the Jets signing Carr, citing “you’ll get a few years and far less drama.”

This is more of a slight to Rodgers than it is a positive for Carr, but that fan believes that less drama might be a good thing for the Jets.

The Jets have a young team of offensive weapons who could all benefit from a veteran quarterback.

That certainly remains to be seen.
However, between their young offensive weapons paired with an elite defense, the Jets are an attractive destination for any free agent.
