The Kansas City Chiefs were able to win the Super Bowl in 2023 despite their lack of depth at the wide receiver position.
When the team lost Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, many wondered how the Chiefs would react.
Thankfully for the Chiefs, they have Patrick Mahomes under center, who can make everyone around him better.
Even though their core is depleted already, the Chiefs are likely to lose another weapon, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Mecole Hardman will likely depart the Chiefs during the off-season.
Hardman was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2019 draft.
In his four years on their roster, Hardman has racked up 151 receptions, 2,088 yards, and 16 touchdowns.
In this offense, it’s difficult to get too many targets, given the massive amount that Travis Kelce gets every year, causing Hardman to have a diminished role.
On a new team, Hardman could find a place as a number two or three receiver, given his elite speed.
During the 2019 NFL combine, Hardman ran a 4.33 40-yard dash, making him one of the fastest receivers in the entire league.
Hardman’s speed and athleticism were put on full display early on in the 2022 NFL season, as he became the first wide receiver in NFL history to rush for two touchdowns and catch a touchdown pass in the same game.
With JuJu Smith-Schuster left unsigned, the Chiefs might have to acquire another target or two in free agency as well.
While Skyy Moore showed some flashes in his rookie year, Mahomes needs more weapons than Moore and Kelce.
