A Former Ravens WR Is Backing Up Rashod Bateman’s GM Criticism

We wouldn’t want to be in Baltimore Ravens’ GM Eric DeCosta’s shoes right now.

Not only he has to deal with the Lamar Jackson contract stand-off situation, but now, he’s also under heavy fire by one of his team’s star wide receivers.

Rashod Bateman didn’t care for DeCosta’s criticism of the wideout corps, stating that they’re going to continue to try and find a star in the NFL Draft.

Bateman fired back at him in a now-deleted tweet, calling the team out for constantly throwing the players under the bus and failing to keep them healthy and playing to their strengths.

Notably, it didn’t take long before a former Ravens star also chimed in and doubled-down on the criticism.

Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown seemed to agree with every single word Bateman said, which doesn’t seem like a surprise at all.

Brown was often misused and criticized before requesting a trade away to the Arizona Cardinals, and the Ravens’ shortcomings in the passing game have often been a talking point.

Lamar Jackson has caught some strays for his lack of improvement as a passer, yet it’s not like he’s had a lot of weapons to work with over the years.

This isn’t a good look for the organization at all, but the GM should’ve known better than to put his own players on blast just weeks before the NFL Draft.

So, would you blame Lamar for not wanting to settle for less than what he’s worth?

If anything, he should ask for more money now.
