The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a new starting quarterback in 2023.

After Tom Brady’s retirement, the Bucs have a long offseason to find out who their signal caller will be.

The one player that will seemingly get the first shot at the job is Kyle Trask.

He was the Buccaneers’ second-round pick in the 2021 draft and has yet to show what he can do in the NFL.

So far in his career, he has thrown nine passes.

While he is inexperienced, the Bucs drafted him in the second round for a reason.

He was a very productive college quarterback at Florida, and Tampa Bay saw him as the QB of the future.

That time is finally here, and they need to find out what Trask can do.

Bucs GM Jason Licht sees Trask getting a fair shot to win the job in training camp.

It would not make sense for the Bucs to move on a veteran without giving Trask a chance.

That is why he was drafted so high, to eventually replace Brady as the starter.

This season will be the chance to show what he can do.

Playing in the NFC South should give the Bucs a little breathing room at QB.

There is no franchise quarterback in the division, and Trask playing decent could vault them to a division title.

It will be interesting to see if the Buccaneers make any more moves at quarterback.

But, for now, it seems to be Trask’s job to lose.
