The Bengals Make Their Thoughts On Tee Higgins Clear

The Cincinnati Bengals are no longer the bottom-feeders of the AFC North, thanks to Joe Burrow.

Since drafting him, the Bengals have committed to making him a focal point of their offense, drafting two marquee wide receivers in the last three seasons.

Tee Higgins and Ja’Mar Chase have been nothing short of spectacular, giving the Bengals a top-five receiving unit in the league.

Although many have pointed to Higgins as a potential trade target, the Bengals beg to differ.

Concerning trade talks of Higgins, Bengals executive Duke Tobin had this to say: “If they want a receiver, go find your own.”

Due to Tobin’s comments, it’s clear that the Bengals’ front office wants to keep this offensive core together.

The Bengals have made the AFC Championship in back-to-back seasons, something that they could have only dreamed of before drafting Burrow.

The AFC isn’t slowing down, seeing that the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs keep getting better.

If the Bengals can pay Burrow, Chase, and Higgins contract extensions, they should find themselves in an ideal situation moving forward.

In 2021, the biggest complaint of the Bengals was their offensive line, which was likely the reason that they lost the Super Bowl that season.

They did improve this unit in 2022 and will look to continuously get better in 2023 as well.

The AFC North will likely be theirs for the foreseeable future.

Can Burrow and company create a dynasty, similar to what Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have done?
