PFF Reveals Its Top NFL Player Of 2022

The NFL is a unique sport, making it difficult to identify the league’s best player.

For example, in the NBA, everyone on the team plays both offense and defense.

An NBA player can be a great shooter, but if their defense is lackluster, they can be regarded as an incomplete player or a one-dimensional athlete.

The NFL is different in that way.

Although the offense is put on full display at all times, providing highlight plays, defensive players are often overshadowed.

Every year, PFF puts out a compilation of the 101 best players from the previous season, which was revealed recently.

Patrick Mahomes has been named as PFF’s number-one player of 2022.

Interestingly enough, there were three members from the Kansas City Chiefs in the top five of these rankings.

Mahomes was one, Chris Jones was two, and Travis Kelce was four.

Joe Burrow and Micah Parsons rounded out the top five.

While many saw the Philadelphia Eagles as the better team heading into the Super Bowl, it appears that PFF did not agree.

The Chiefs had three of their top five highest-ranked players on their roster.

Mahomes and Kelce continue to be one of the most elite quarterback-receiver threats in the entire league.

Jones was PFF’s defensive player of the year and was a nominee for NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

The Chiefs will now look to 2023 with Lombardi hopes on their minds for the third time in five seasons.

Will Mahomes be able to repeat his brilliance next season, assuming he is fully healed from his ankle injury?
