What do the Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints all have in common?

They could all use a young quarterback, and C.J. Stroud might as well be one of the best they could get.

The Ohio State product turned plenty of heads with his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine, all but cementing himself as the top-five pick most scouts think he should be.

Stroud led one of the most explosive and electrifying offenses in the nation during his time with the Buckeyes, but he was slightly polarizing for months, mostly because Bryce Young was a seemingly better QB.

But according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Stroud left all scouts in awe with his performance at Indianapolis, impressing with his short-throw ability.

Asked a veteran NFL scout about Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud: “One of the best Combines I’ve seen from a quarterback. Sometimes it’s the short throws that can be tricky. Not for Stroud. Everything was clean. His arm was effortlessly big. He measured well. Pretty much perfect.”

Stroud claims that he models himself to Deshaun Watson and Michael Vick, but he might as well turn out to be even better than both of them.

He’s made a living out of creating something out of nothing after a broken play, and he’s got a bit of a cannon for an arm as well.

He’s fast, athletic, and can throw into tight spaces, all traits that could translate perfectly to the next level.

As of now, a team to watch is Indianapolis, which would be a seemingly-perfect fit for him at this point in his career.

He’d have virtually no competition to start, and he’d play under Shane Steichen, who helped develop Jalen Hurts and Justin Herbert.
