At age 33, Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller may not be the player he was several years ago, but he still appears to have a good deal of football left in him.
Still, he is closer to the end of his career than the beginning of it, and he is reportedly starting to plan for what could be his next career — being an NFL general manager.
To that end, he made an appearance at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, and he is looking to pick the minds of some of the best in the business.

“This is what I want to do,’’ Miller said to 9NEWS. “I wanted to do this one time before in college when I took my poultry science class and I sat in that class and said If I don’t make it in the NFL and it doesn’t work out, this is what I want to do.’’
Miller wants to meet with general managers of other teams in order to try to learn from them, but doing so would be a violation of league rules since he’s under contract with the Bills.
This season, he put up eight sacks, 12 quarterback hits and 10 tackles for loss in helping them to a 13-3 record.
While with the Denver Broncos not too long ago, Miller was a force to be reckoned with, as he was named to the Pro Bowl six straight times, as well as the All-Pro first-team in back-to-back years.
He was named the MVP of Super Bowl 50 when the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers in Peyton Manning’s final game.
Miller was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 where he earned his second world championship.
Not too many former stars and Hall of Famers have become successful executives, but in Denver, legendary QB John Elway has done just that, and perhaps Miller will be looking to follow in his footsteps and build a championship team of his own.
