Tom Brady was a catalyst for the New England Patriots, bringing success to an organization that hadn’t previously won a Super Bowl.
Now that Brady is retired, the Patriots have encountered a lot of restructuring, trying to get back to the top of the NFL’s mountaintop.
Ahead of the 2023 season, the Patriots have added a new member to their organization, according to Aaron Wilson, a longtime NFL reporter.
#Patriots expected to add former #Panthers vice president of player personnel Pat Stewart, a former #Eagles national scout and New England staffer, to scouting department, per league sources. He drew interest around NFL, including from former Patriots executives who are now GMs

Pat Stewart is said to be joining the Patriots’ front office as a member of their scouting department.
Stewart comes from the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles and has prior experience with the Patriots as well.
During his time with both organizations, Stewart has experience as a vice president of player personnel, as well as scouting.
Given his experience with scouting for the Eagles and the Patriots alike, Stewart should provide insight to an organization that struggled in the draft in 2022.
Every season, PFF puts out its rankings for each team’s draft.
These rankings are based on team need, and it takes into account each player that is drafted.
Last year, the Patriots received a draft grade of D, a significant fall from their A+ grade in 2021.
While these rankings are certainly subjective, they do provide insight into a team’s draft, and what the general public perceives of it.
Brady was certainly a diamond in the rough for the Patriots, considering that there was a lack of buzz surrounding him in his draft year.
Will the Patriots be able to turn things around in the 2023 draft, potentially finding another diamond in the rough?
