Eagles head into short week standing as lone unbeaten at 7-0

A.J. Brown had already scored three touchdowns and was on his way to scoring a fourth when he was suddenly stopped from behind and forced to settle for a meager gain of only 43 yards.

Brown remarked, smiling, “My teammates teased me about that.” “I had a strong sense that I would succeed. My legs were successfully swiped and I was brought to the ground by (the defender). I felt angry. I believe that was the first time in the NFL that I was discovered.

After a 35-13 laugher against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, which improved the only unbeaten club in the league to 7-0, Brown and the Eagles could afford the giggle.

The Eagles had additional fun on the sidelines when Jason Kelce, in a lighthearted homage to the superhero moniker given to their wide receivers, donned a Batman mask. “Swole Batman” is Brown.

Only a spectacular failure may prevent Philadelphia from winning the NFC East. Only severe wounds may scuttle what ought to be a serious push for the Super Bowl.

Why should the Union and Phillies get to enjoy themselves more?

Jalen Hurts concluded the game with 285 yards and four touchdown passes, including three to Brown in the first half. Brown gained 156 yards on six receptions. For the second time in team history, the Eagles are 7-0, joining the Super Bowl-bound squad from 2004.
