The Chicago Bears currently hold the number one overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

There has been league-wide speculation about what the Bears will do with this pick.

At the moment, a few members of the Bears organization are at the combine, including their general manager and head coach.

Instead of traditional interviews with prospective players, the Bears have taken a unique approach to their conversations.

The @ChicagoBears want to find the most competitive guys at the #NFLCombine, so they’re playing darts and putt-putt with prospects.

Ultimately, as seen in the tweet above, the team decided to bring a dart board and a mini-golf putting green.

It appears that, at least for now, the Bears are much more interested in a player’s character and personality than they are in their abilities on the field.

Of course, the Bears aren’t out to draft the nicest, most friendly player that they encounter.

But, by having more casual conversations, and understanding how competitive a player is, the Bears can determine who will, and more importantly, who won’t be a good fit for them.

The Bears have only made the playoffs two times in the last ten years.

With any luck, Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus will be able to turn the organization around, which includes their newest draftees in April.

If the Bears are confident in Justin Fields moving forward, there are a few incredible defensive players that will be at their disposal.

However, if they are tempted to take another young quarterback, they will have a great crop to choose from as well, should they choose to hold onto this pick.
